I was excited to have received the Travel, Study and Research Grant from my school for Summer 2011. With Marshall, we set off to the UK to explore England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland, and experience the culture and education throughout. Along the way, we made stops at different British universities that are of interest to my students at Atlanta International School. I wanted to capture it all through pictures and also learn to be a better photographer in the process. Before we left Atlanta, I attended a travel photography class at the Showcase School of Photography with professional photographer Kerry Halasz. Highly recommend if you are in the search for any photography classes in Atlanta! She provided insight on everything from lighting to composition to catching the shot.
