jul 17th- Chicago

After sleeping in, we decided to make our way to the Windy City Rib Fest. I’m always one that loves festivals, so I’m not joking when we termed this day the “best day eva.” Not that the festival was that great, but it definitely made us laugh. After making our way to the festival in Uptown, paying the recommended donation of $10 each, we got inside the gates only to find that there were probably less than 50 attendees at the festival. The guests far outnumbered the workers that were there, including the lonliest tickets sales people on the planet. The Weezer cover band was playing for a crowd of 5 people in front of them at the stage. We made the most out of it, enjoyed some barbeque, hovered under an umbrella to escape the extreme heat, and were entertained by the festival’s vendors- everything from men’s underwear to a piece of fabric that you can wear over 100 different ways. Quite a comical day and a fun end to my trip to Chicago! Many thanks to Cindy and Davis for a fabulous weekend! Goodbye Chicago!
